For example; I know that a diamond can be formed from carbon at high enough heat and pressure. I know that a rainbow is formed when water droplets in the air refract the sunlight like a prism. I know that George Washington crossed the Delaware on Christmas and succeeded in taking his enemy by surprise with a tiny force of men. I know that love is caused by chemicals and endorphines in my brain.
But think on this; why? Why in a different sense, though. Why did that piece of carbon end up in that high pressure hot spot to become the Hope Diamond instead of somewhere else to become a piece of graphite in someone's pencil? Why did I stand right where I did to have that sunlight refracted at just the right angle to produce a rainbow? Why did George Washington think of, and stick to, a plan that seemed doomed to fail and yet became a turning point in a war that changed the face of the earth? Why does my brain release those swoon-inducing chemicals when I see that particular person?
Why?
You see, I have learned as well that even though I can explain something, that does not necessarily mean it is not a miracle.

Sorry it was a while ago.
